Description: 24 individually designed blocks each measuring 8" x 8" set 4 x 6 in sampler style quilt. The blocks depict winter and Christmas scenes and contain names of block makers. There is a sashing of red/green plaids with metallic running through the fabric. The sashing measures 1.5'' in width. There is one border of the same fabric measuring 2" in width.
Edge Treatment: 1/2" straight grain binding machine applied to front and hand stitched to back of quilt.
Quilting Designs: Straight line quilting in the border and sashing, outline and in the ditch on blocks
Workmanship: Construction: very good, seams are secure, appliqué is secure to background fabric
Quilting: fair, moderate amount on quilt
Provenance blocks were made by members of the Prairie Quilters of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and presented to the Greater San Antonio Quilt Guild as a sister city
