Description: 63 blocks, each measuring 9.75" x 9.75" (32 blocks in the nine patch pattern and 31 appliquéd heart blocks), set 7 x 9, with no setting blocks or corner triangles.
There are 2 borders on the quilt: #1: blue, 7/8" in width, #2:print 4.75" in width
Edge Treatment: 1/2" blue straight grain binding, machine applied to front of quilt and hand stitched to back of quilt.
Quilting Designs: diagonal grid on quilt measuring 2" x 2", outline with echo around heart appliques, straight line quilting in the borders outer border has heart quilt designs.
Workmanship:
Construction: very good, seams are secure, appliqué is secure to background fabric Quilting: excellent, moderate amount on quilt
Provenance This quilt was prepared by Eleanor Wright as a project for beginning hand piecing and hand appliqué education through the Quilt Project Committee. Blocks were completed by members of the Greater San Antonio Quilt Guild over 1991-1992 and several quilts were completed from this project
