The Greater San Antonio Quilt Guild was organized on May 3, 1980. We have ten officers on our Board of Directors and thirty-five standing committees. Our current membership is 230 enthusiastic and talented quilters. The Guild is a non-profit organization with the following purposes:
To stimulate an interest in quilts and to advance the art of quiltmaking. To assist schools and museums in their display of quilts and quilting. To hold educational programs, workshops and seminars in the design and techniques of quiltmaking. To provide any person interested in quilts with a forum to share and participate in quilting
The September 13 guild meeting has been postponed because of Hurricane Ike. All hope is not lost, we will be holding our regular guild meeting, including the garage sale, purchasing auction luncheon tickets, handing in finished auction quilts, style show entries, etc. on the 20th of September at the San Pedro Presbyterian church, please see the map (scroll down) and the directions below. Meeting time will be 10:00a.m.-1p.m.. We hope to see you all there. Directions If you are coming south on 281, you need to take the Brookhollow exit. Cross Brookhollow and proceed to next light. Turn Left 2x and Right, into driveway of church. Proceed to rear for parking. If you are coming north on 281, you need to take the Winding Way /Oak Shadows exit. Proceed through the light and turn Right onto First driveway you see, proceed to rear for parking. If you get to HEB and/or Brookhollow you've gone too far.
